The sermon is a central part of the worship service here at Zion Lutheran Church. The sermon points out where sin affects us in our lives, and it shows how God removes the guilt for that sin for the sake of Jesus. It shows how the Holy Spirit helps us to live new lives. The focus is the people sitting in the congregation, not the people “out there.” The emphasis is on the healing and forgiveness we receive through faith in Jesus Christ.
